Mrs. HENRY (Gertrude Pauline Erickson) LARSON 1895-1967

Funeral services are being held today (Wednesday) at St. Paul Lutheran Church for Mrs. Henry H. Larson who passed away May 15, 1967 in Ossian. Burial will be in the Postville cemetery. The Rev. Lenwood L. Monte was in charge of the rites.

Mrs. Henry H.. Larson, Gertrude Pauline Erickson, daughter of Henry and Josephine (Nelson) Erickson, was born August 20, 1895. She was baptized in the Marion Lutheran Church and was confirmed on May 22, 1910. On October 9, 1913 she was united in marriage to Henry H. Larson and to this union was born one son, Harry Gerald Larson.

Her entire life was spent around Postville with the exception of five years which were spent on a farm south of Ossian.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Delores Larson and three grandchildren, David, Sharon May and Karen Kay; six sisters, Mrs. Nora Jorgenson and Mrs. Emily Amundson of Clermont; Mrs. Mabel Larson of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Agnes Vallersvin, Elgin; Mrs. Nettie Peake, Hot Springs, Arkansas; Mrs. Harriet Carter of Washington; and one brother, Peter Erickson of Waterloo; as well as a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Larson, who passed away September 21, 1961 and only son, Harry Gerald Larson, who passed away October 10, 1965; as well as her parents.

She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.
