Beverly A. Grady, 67, of Waukon, died Feb. 11 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon. Funeral service was held Feb. 14 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Waukon under the direction of Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon.

Beverly was born March 1, 1932, the daughter of Donald and Irene (Decker) Steiber of Lansing. She married Daniel J. Grady on June 29, 1948 at Immaculate Conception, Wexford.

Beverly worked as a cook at the Allamakee Community School. She was especially good at baking pies. She contributed to the KC breakfast and 4-H fair booth. She also enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her son Keith (Lana) Grady; daughters Patty Peterson, Lansing, Peggy Grady, Waukon, and Jeanette (Milt) Kirkestue, Postville; her mother, Irene Steiber, Lansing; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Kenny (Judy) Steiber, Lansing; sister, Mona (Ray) Shelton and Sharon (Robert) Decker of Waukon.

Beverly is preceded in death by her father, a sister, Ruth Russell, and her husband Daniel who died in 1986.

Pallbearers were Jason Grady, Jesse Peterson, Jeff Steiber, Terry Grady, Corey Kirkestue, Ricky Shelton, Steve Decker, and Donnie Russell.

Hanson's Funeral Home, Waukon, assisted the family.
