WALTER HENRY KIESAU

Funeral services for Walter Henry Kiesau, 85, of Waukon, were held Monday, June 26 at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville. Rev. James Elvig officiated. Martin Bros. Funeral Home, Waukon, had charge of arrangements. Interment was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Walter H. Kiesau, son of Henry and Helen M. Kruger Kiesau was born August 24, 1903 in rural Frankville, Iowa. He died at St. Francis Hospital, LaCrosse, WI June 23, 1989.

Feb. 11, 1930 he married Nettie Louise Nagel at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. She died Feb. 21, 1976. He married Dorothy (Stock) Snitker in Waukon March 5, 1977 at the First Presbyterian Church. She died December 12, 1977.

He hauled cream 14 years for Ludlow Creamery, worked at Hygrade Packing Plant, Postville for 14 years and was a retired farmer. He received his education in the Frankville School.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.

Preceding him in death were his wives, 2 brothers, Paul and Edwin and 3 sisters, Ruth, Elsie and Lydia.

Surviving are 2 sons: Dale, Waukon and Dean, Madison, WI and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Martin (Darlene) Jennings, Springville, IA; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Carl Christianson, Daryl Cooper, Ralph Martin, Curt Hanson, Calvin Bechtel and Robert Kiesau.
