Obituary - Peter Moller

Peter Moller passed away at the home of his daughter Mary, Mrs. David Burroughs of near Waukon, Friday, Jan. 10, 1947. Deceased was born in Denmark, Jan. 13, 1862 and reached the good old age of 84 years, 11 months, and 28 days at the time of his passing.
Mr. Moller came to America in 1882 and was united in marriage to Enforsine Borselph, also a native of Denmark, on March 23, 1883 at St. Paul, Minn. After their marriage, they made Pipestone, Minn., their home for a number of years, then moving to Allamakee County, making it their permanent home. Eight children were born to this union, three children preceeding him in death, two in childhood and John of Lansing, a few years back. Mrs. Moller also preceeded him in death on May 9th, 1926. He leaves to mourn his passing four daughter, Mary, Mrs. David Burroughs with whom he made his home the past two years; Bodil, Mrs. William Beardmore, Caldonia, Minn; Johanna, Mrs. Robert Protsman, and Anna, Mrs. Roy Thorp, both of Lansing; one son, Sam, of Waukon. he also leaves 32 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, along with friends who will read with regret of his passing.
The funeral services took place on Monday afternoonat 2 o'clock at the Burke Funeral Chapel, Lansing, with Rev. Calvin Willemssen (sp) of the Federated Church officiating and saying the final prayers at the graveside. Interment was beside his wife in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery and carrying his remains to its last resting place were six grandsons, Roland and Delbert Burroughs, Gene and Del Thorp, Howard Beardmore and John Protsman.
