Gottieb Henry Munz, 74, a former caretaker at the Dubuque Post Office, died at the family residence, 1149 Elm Street, Sunday night at 11:45 o'clock, after being in ill health for the last year, although his condition did not become critical until a month ago.
The body may be viewed at the Didesch Funeral Home after 7 o'clock Monday evening. Funeral services will be conducted at the Didesch Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Mr. Munz was born in Waukon, Ia., Sept. 1, 1869, and had resided in Dubuque since 1918. He was a member of the Grace Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Florence Munz; two sons, Ralph Munz, at home, and Private Arthur W. Munz, Fort Knox, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Hannah Ashbacher, Waukon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
