Thursday, May 16, 1963Funeral For Mrs. John Schneider Held Saturday
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 11 at First Presbyterian Church, Waukon for Mrs. John Schneider who died at Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital Thursday, May 9. Mrs. Schneider was a life long member of First Presbyterian Church and Reverand William Tjaden conducted the services.
Mrs. Schneider, the former Sophie Mae Kaeser, was educated in the local schools and was employed as a dressmaker after finishing school. Her marriage to John Schneider was solemnized April 26, 1911, and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1961.
Survivors are her husband and three children; Mrs. Vincent Tranfaglia of Manila, Philippines, Mrs. Hartford Marsh, Waterloo; and J. Milton Schneider, Waukon. Other survivors are five grandchildren; one sister, Hattie Walton, Russell, Minn.; and two brothers, Sam Kaeser and Charles Kaeser of Waukon.
