CYRUS EDWARD HARRINGTON

Cyrus Edward Harrington, son of D'Estaing and Nancy Anne Burnham Harrington, was born September 29, 1881 in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county, Iowa.

He died at his home in Postville, Thursday, June 28, 1962, at the age of 80 years.

On September 5, 1916 he was married to Nina Gretrude Kluss at Postville.

Cy attended Postville school after which he learned the barber trade and spent his active days as a barber in Postville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Arthur, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lange and Mrs. John Thoma.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Henry C. Keeslar of Springfield, Illinois; two sons, Charles Kluss of Hamilton, Ohio and Robert E. Harrington of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, Gus Harrington of Marshalltown, and Fred Harrington of Burr Oak; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Cy was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home, Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the service.

Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
