Memorial services for Kathleen Koevenig were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 18 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. Services were also held Monday, May 14 at 11 a.m. in Oviedo, FL.

Kathleen Dorthea Koevenig, daughter of Charles and Velma (Schultz) Ohloff, was born March 17, 1934 in Postville. She died May 11, 1984 in Orlando, FL.

She was baptized June 3, 1934 and confirmed March 21, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She graduated from Postville High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College (now the University of Northern Iowa) for two years.

Kathleen married James Koevenig Aug. 15, 1954 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They were the parents of two children.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Surviving are her husband, Dr. James Koevenig of Oviedo, FL; a daughter, Kimberly of South Daytona, FL; a son, Kurt of Oviedo, FL, her mother, Velma Ohloff of Postville; a brother, Bill Ohloff of Castalia; and her father-in-law, Louis Koevenig of Postville.
