Services Held For Mrs. T. Overeen
Funeral services for Mrs. Truman Overeen were held in the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville, Thursday, December 24, 1970 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dick Harberts officiating. Mrs. Overeen died suddenly at her home Monday, December 21.

Mildred Alice, daughter of John and Bessie Murray Householder, was born at Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she attended school, graduating in 1925. After graduation she taught in rural schools in Fayette County.

She was united in marriage to Truman W. Overeen July 30, 1930 at Vicksburg, Mississippi and to this union one son, Jack, was born.

Mildred became a member of the Community Presbyterian church April 2, 1944 by letter of transfer. She was a past president of the United Presbyterian Women and active in women's activities. She was a member of the Ruth Circle and of Chapter F. T. of the P. E. O. Sisterhood. She served as secretary and treasurer of the hospital auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother LeRoy. She is survived by her husband, Truman, her son Jack and wife Sandra, and grandchildren, Michelle and Craig of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
