Obituary of Joseph Marley (newspaper unknown) reads:

Joseph Marley Dies Suddenly

Joseph Marley, 57, died Friday morning Dec. 5 of a heart attack at his home on Second St. in Lansing.

He was born June 17, 1912 in Allamakee County, the oldest son of Catherine Fitzgerald and Frank Marley. He spent all his lifetime in this county.

He was preceded in death by twin brothers, James and John and his parents. Survivors are a brother, Thomas Marley and a sister, Mrs. Mary Manton, of Lansing and two nieces, Mrs. Leo Keenan, McGregor, and Mrs. Robert Malli, Waukon.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at I. C. Church, Wexford, with Rev. Francis Perry offering the Requiem Mass and saying the graveside prayers. Burial was in the family lot at Wexford.

Pallbearers were Thomas O’Neill, John Delaney, Robert Whalen, Urban Hawes, Walt Keenan and Norbert Guider.
