Obituary of Mary Marley Manton (newspaper unknown) reads:

Mary Manton was born Nov. 13, 1914 in Wexford to Frank and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Marley.

She married William Manton in August 1938 in Dubuque. Mary, a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, had lived in Wexford, Lansing and Waukon.

Mary died Tuesday, July 6, 1999 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. She was 84.

Survivors include a daughter Kathleen Keenan of McGregor; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter Mary Malli; and four brothers, Thomas, Joseph, John and James.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9 at St. Patrick’s, Waukon, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in the Wexford Cemetery with arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Dick, Bill and Brian Keenan, Robert, Mike and Pat Malli, and Ray Mullarkey.
