Frank Marley died July 11, 1949, and is buried at Wexford, IA. Obituary in the Allamakee Journal reads:

Obituary – Frank L. Marley

The above named gentleman passed away at his home in Lafayette township Monday at noon following a month’s illness. He has been in failing health for some time.

Frank Leo Marley, 84, was born in St. Louis, M., a son of Dominic Marley and Bridget Cunningham. On February 1st, 1911, he was married to Kate Fitzgerald who with two sons, Joseph and Thos., and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Manton, mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. Two sons, James and John preceded their father in death as did three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Marley operated the little store at Wexford between the years 1914 and 1928 and was well known throughout the county and by callers from far and near who visited this historic place.

The funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church there tomorrow, Thursday, morning at nine o’clock with the Rev. Father Maurice Tracey offering the Mass of Requiem and burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church yard.
