Jamie Matthew Ryan

Jamie Matthew Ryan, 33, of Ankeny died Friday, September 25, 2009 at his home.

Visitation with family present will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, October 2 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 109 Second Street SW in Waukon, Iowa with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m.

Jamie has been cremated and a private burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date.

Visitation and Prayer Service were held Tuesday, September 29 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines.

Jamie was born September 3, 1976 in Waterloo. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, as well as the Ankeny Hawks. Jamie enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors, hunting, fishing and doing landscaping.

Jamie is survived by his mother, Sherry Welch; his father, Jeff (Julie) Ryan; his siblings, Shay (Greg) Vrchoticky, and Zach and Alec Ryan; grandparents Ralph and Joann Welch; aunts and uncles Cindy (Ron) McDowell, Chris (Steve) Weymiller, Terry (Laurie) Welch, Jill (Jim) Kiesau, Kim (Amy) Welch, Mary Ryan, Scott (Deb) Ryan, Lisa (Scott) McFall, Rick (Shimene) Ryan, and Beth (John) Ravis; Lady Branham; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Matthew Thomas and Ruby Elizabeth Ryan; his aunt, Jackie Welch; and his uncle, Tom Ryan.
