Mrs. Dorothy Hamm
Mrs. Dorothy Hamm, 63, of 401 Quincy St., died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday of a heart condition at Allan Memorial Hospital. She was born July 13, 1908 at Waterville, the daughter of David Arthur and Belle Cayton Davis, She was married to Arthur Hamm in 1924, and he preceded her in death. She then married Harmon Hamm at Monona on Jan. 19, 1957. She had lived in the Waterloo area for 35 years and was last employed at Power Equipment Inc. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Chapel of Memories West where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Survivors include her father and husband, both of 401 Quincy St; a son Lorris of Mason City, a daughter Mrs. Dale Smith, of Hudson; 2 stepsons, Kenneth of Epworth and Keith of Dubuque; a brother Jay Davis of 17 Cottage St; 2 sisters, Mrs. Roger Calahan of Marquette, and Mrs. Clarence Svebakken of Waterville; 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and her first husband.
