MRS. HENRY A. (Alida Harrington) HARRIS LANGE

Alida L. Harrington, daughter of De Esting and Ann Burnham Harrington, was born at Farmersburg, Clayton county, Iowa, on March 1, 1876. She passed away at her home in Postville, Monday, September 4, 1961.

On March 30, 1893 she was united in marriage to Charles A. Harris. To this union were born one daughter, Maude Esther, Mrs. J. E. Welsch, who died in 1920; and five sons, Roy W. Harris of Phoenix, Arizona, David L. Harris of Thermopolis, Wyoming, George Dewey Harris of Mason City, Joe Charles Lewis Harris of Seattle, Washington, and Cyrus Andrew Harris of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Also surviving are three brothers, Cyrus Edward Harrington of Postville; Gus De Esting Harrington of Marshalltown; and Fred Garfield Harrington of Burr Oak.

Charles A. Harris died October 31, 1902.

On June 23, 1913, Alida L. Harris was united in marriage to Henry August Lange at Waukon, Iowa.

Mrs. Henry Lange was affiliated with the Congregational church of Postville. She was a member of the Rebecca lodge and a member of the Past Noble Grand club.

Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church, Thursday, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
