Betty was truly a devoted wife and mother and her family chuckled many times at the self proclaimed title of "Domestic Engineer." Betty was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, St. Madonna Circle, Women's Club, Sewing Club, and Art Club.
Betty is survived by her husband, Cletus of Mason City; daughters, Susan (Shawn) Weydert of Mason City and Jane Goodwin of New Hampton; grandson, Jamison Weydert of Mason City; granddaughters, Melissa, Danielle, and Michala Goodwin of New Hampton; and brother, Delbert (Fern) Brelsford of Perry.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Cletus Heffern, in infancy; four brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Marion, and Lloyd; and two sisters, Bula and Katherine.
