Death of Mrs. James Ryan.

The death of Mrs. James Ryan took place Monday, after a three days illness with bronchial pneumonia, at her home in Ludlow township, near Frankville. Her maiden name was Johanna Gallagher and she was born in New York State 80 years ago, coming to this county when a child with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Gallagher, who settled on West Ridge. After reaching young womanhood she was married to James Ryan, who preceded her in death 22 years ago. They made their home on the farm in Ludlow township, where she resided.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Joseph, John, Thomas, Mary, Elizabeth, Mrs. Ed Roach, all of this county. Mrs. Dan Drew, Cresco; Sister Marian, Cedar Rapids; (a sister) Mrs. James Martin, Dubuque. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas and Frank Gallagher, both of this county. The funeral is being held this Wednesday, requiem mass at St. Patrick’s church and burial in Mount Olivet.
