Mrs. Timmerman's Rites Friday

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran church in Waukon for Mrs. Grover Timmerman, 67, of Waukon who died Nov. 11 in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital.

The Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiated and burial was in Oak Hill cemetery. Daryl Schlitter, Daniel Schlitter, Eugene Schlitter, James Walsh, Roger Russett and Obert Johnson were pallbearers.

Hazel Caroline Henrietta Schlitter was born July 29, 1903 in Allamakee county and was a daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Schmitt Schlitter. She was educated in the local schools and April 14, 1926 married Grover Timmerman in Monona. He survives with two sons, Delbert and LaVern, both of Cedar Rapids, and a daughter Mrs. Clifton (Arlene) Yearous of Lansing. Eight grandchildren, three brothers, Carlton Schlitter of Monona, Milton of Fredericksburg and Willis of Waukon, and a sister Mrs. Gerwin (Mabel) Martins of Postville also survive. Two children preceded her in death.

Mrs. Timmerman was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church. Martin Brothers funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
