Anton O'Donnell Buried At Lycurgus Friday

Anton J. O'Donnell passed away at the local hospital Tuesday after having been ill just a short time.

Mr. O'Donnell had lived in Allamakee Township all his life, being a retired farmer of the French Creek area, and living in Waukon a few years.

He was the son of John and Eunice Dougherty O'Donnell and was born September 17, 1881. On April 16, 1918 he was married to Alvoretta Whalen who survives along with his children,
Mrs. James Plein (LaVern) of near Lansing and Mrs. William Reynolds (Virginia) of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Howe and Mrs. Anna Shortt. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

The funeral was held Friday morning, Nov. 14th at 9 a.m. from Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home to St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. John B. McDonald, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lycurgus. Pall-bearers were Charles and William Whalen, Joseph Howe, Jerry Regan, William Plein and George Mettille.

Out of Town Relatives Attend O'Donnell Funeral

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the wake and funeral of Anton O'Donnell were: Mrs. Lester Larson Monitowoc, Wis; Mrs. Lloyd Knuppe, Dubuque; Mrs. Wm. Seiter and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Valler of La Crosse, Wis.; Mrs. Floyd Pottratz, New Albin and Miss Lettie Gabriel, Atlanta, Georgia.
