Dedrick Larson Passes In hospital In La Crosse At Age Of Seventy-0ne
Dedrick Larson well known farmer of Center township, died at a La Crosse hospital following a month's illness. Death was caused from a complication of diseases. He was 71 years old.
Dedrick Larson was born December 28, 1867, in Jefferson township a son of Lars B. and Anna Larson. He received his education in the rural schools of the county. On January 3, 1898, he was married to Sophia Sunderman, and they settled on a farm in Center Township. Four children were born to this union.
He is survived by Mrs. Larson and four children, Floyd L. Larson of Waukon, Mrs. Viola Ketchum of Platte City, Missouri, Mrs. Mildred Eckberg of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, and Mrs. Doris Gruber of Lansing, all of whom were present at the funeral.
He also is mourned by nine grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Chris Larson of Douglas, Nebraska, Mrs. Anna Gjefle and John B. Larson of Waukon, Mrs. Lena Blacktin of Minneapolis, Charles Bendrick of Woodville Minnesota, and Mrs. Sena Riser of Lansing.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Floyd Larson Home and the Congregational church at Church. The Reverend Henry C. Marks conducted the services, and burial was at the Lansing Ridge cemetery.
