Tuesday evening, Mrs. C.E. Eckert received a telephone message telling her of the death of her brother, James Thompson at Waukon, Iowa. The funeral is to be held this afternoon and Mr. and Mrs. Eckert with Gay Seuser of Albert Lea and Mrs. Mary Pixley of Northwood left this morning to be present at the service. Mr. Thompson was 80 years of age. He is survived by one son, his wife and six children having preceded him in death; also three sisters survive. They are Mrs. Ida Eckert of this place and Mrs. Mary Pixley of Northwood.
