Zimmerman Rites Here Wednesday

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug.5 at 1:30 p.m. from Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon for Frederick C. Zimmerman, 85. The Rev. Walter Clausing will officiate and burial will be in the Lansing Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Zimmerman died Sunday, Aug. 2 in the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon... He was born Oct. 15, 1885 in Allamakee county and was a son of Fred and Caroline Wieland Zimmerman. He was educated in the local schools and was engaged in farming before his retirement. He was twice married. In 1920 he married Marie Saewert, who survives, and in 1949 Laura Bell, who preceded him in death.

A son Frederick Jr. of Cedar Falls and two daughers Mrs. Curtis (Wilma) Thompson of Waterville and Mrs. Harry ( Mary) Larson of Decorah survive as do nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two brothers, Charles and William, precede him in death.
