OBITUARY OF MRS. JOHN G. CLARK
Hannah D. Steele was born in Pennsylvania, Dec. 1, 1852, and came with her parents to Iowa in 1865. She lived with the family in Union Prairie township until 1873.
On Dec. 25th of that year she was united in marriage to John G. Clark. They lived for a time in Franklin township and then in Union Prairie township, and finally came to Waukon which has since been her home.
She died Jan, 22, 1914, aged 61 years, one month and 21 days. Mr. Clark died July 24th, 1900. Mrs Clark leaves two sisters and one brother living in South Dakota, and two sisters and three brothers in Iowa.
She joined the Presbyterian Church of Waukon March 18, 1883, and was faithful to her profession and tried to be faithful to those around her.
The funeral services were held at the home by Pastor Van Nice and burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
