Amanda Mae (Beisker) Kelbl 1925-2008
Amanda Mae Kelbl died at her home Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the age of 82. She was born in Waukon May 5, 1925, the daughter of George William and Alice Ewing Beisker, and was baptized in Christ at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukon. She received her education in Waukon Schools.
February 23, 1961 Amanda was united in marriage to George Kelbl in Kahoka, MO. Because George worked road construction, Amanda traveled with her husband frequently and lived in various towns in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska. She was a very loving wife who, in her spare time, enjoyed baking, sewing and collecting dolls. She loved nature, especially fishing and spending time outside.
She is survived by her husband, George, of Denison; two brothers, David Beisker and his wife, Delores, of Monona and Larry Beisker and his wife, Ruth, of Cedar Rapids; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Beisker and Laurayne Beisker, both of Waukon, and Florence Beisker of Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Georgia Riehm and her husband, Jim, and Virginia Kellison and her husband, Don; five brothers, George Beisker and his wife, Hazel, Dean Beisker, Marvin Beisker and his wife, Shirley, Jack Beisker, and Roger Beisker.
