Virginia Mae (Schultz) Rousseau

Virginia Mae (Schultz) Rousseau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Schultz, was born at Postville, February 5, 1917. She entered into rest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Gerald Skeels, Storm Lake, May 8, 1953. At the time of her death she was 36 years, three months, three days. Virginia was baptized in the Methodist church when a child.

On July 1, 1923, Virginia moved with the family to Sac City, where she made her home and attended the public school, until the family moved to Griswold, in August 1933.

Virginia was united in marriage to H. W. Rousseau in August 1938. She lived at Griswold, until April 1951 when she moved to Omaha, Nebraska. She was employed by the Omaha Cold Storage Company. On March 3, 1952, Virginia underwent major surgery, at which time was found the cause of her fatal illness.

She was the third child of a family of four, and was preceded in death by her mother in September 1933. She leaves to mourn her passing her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Schultz of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Skeels of Storm Lake and Mrs. Charley Sheely of Sac City; and one brother Kermit F. Schultz of Brooklyn, New York; two step-brothers, Morris Odem of Atlantic, and Arnold Odem of Denver, Colorado; three nephews and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Harsh of Algona, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Services were held at the Cobb-Warner Chapel, Spencer, with Rev. Wilkins, of Omaha, Nebraska, officiating. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, Spencer.
