Ralph Ruben Renne

Ralph Ruben Renne, 78, Waukon, died Saturday, December 25, 2004, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. The body was cremated and a private memorial service was held. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa was in charge of the arrangements.

Ralph was born Saturday, December 18, l926, in rural Postville to Arthur and Cora (Pausch) Renne. He married LaVon Opfer on September 12, l950, at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Parsonage rural Postville. He farmed most of his life in rural Postville until his retirement when they moved into Postville and later to Waukon. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Survivors include his wife, LaVon; a daughter Violet (David) Anderson of Gunder, Iowa, and a son Ronald (Tam) Renne of Postville, Iowa. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Brett Anderson of Olin, Cory Anderson, Jeremy Renne, Nick Renne, Ciarra Renne, all of Postville, Jamie (Jessie) Parker of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Katelyn Parker and Lakota Anderson; and one brother-in-law, Virgil (Betty) Opfer.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather, Albert Rissman.

A memorial fund has been established.
