Kimberly (Lough) Wilhelm

Kimberly D. (Lough) Wilhelm, 31, of Decorah and formerly of Waukon died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 4 at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Burial was held in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon.

Kimberly Deane (Lough) Wilhelm was born March 29, 1976 in Waukon, the daughter of Kenneth and Gloria (Gramlich) Lough. She was baptized and confirmed at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon and graduated from Waukon High School in 1995. After graduation she worked in the deli at Steve's Shur-Fine grocery store and later at Northern Engraving, both in Waukon. Kimberly moved to Decorah in 1998, where she worked at the Aase Haugen Home as an assistant cook. September 2, 2006 she married Chris Wilhelm at First Presbyterian Church.

Kimberly enjoyed shopping and bowling and collected Native American items and porcelain dolls. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Chris, and her children, Courtney Lough and Dylan Wilhelm, all of Decorah; her parents, Kenneth and Gloria Lough; two brothers, Bill Lough and Tim Lough and his son Brandon; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kim and Brenda Flatjord, all of Waukon; three brothers-in-law, Joshua (Jennifer) Houdek of Ankeny and their children, Conner and Delaney, Caleb (Alicia Olds) Houdek of Marion, and Travis (Amanda Christoph) Flatjord of Ely, MN; two sisters-in-law, Melissa Shannon of Waterloo and her children, Olivia and Krystal, and Darcie Flatjord of New Hampton; grandparents-in-law, Lester and Betty Stahl of Waukon; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dan and Ella Mae Gramlich and Lyle and Leona Lough; an aunt, Linda Kirkeby; and an uncle, Rocky Ford.

Honorary casketbearers were Bobbie Cowell, Amanda Shaffer, Bethany Hovden, Josy Ziegler, Katrina Stahl and Kimberly Thorpe. Casketbearers were Kevin Nelson, Doug Miller, Todd and Nate Lough, Alex Krambeer and Jeff Gramlich.
