Marie T. Fink

Marie T. Fink, 79, of Waukon, died Tues., Dec. 18, 2001, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held Fri., Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, with the Reverend Larry Olson officiating. Burial will be in Lansing Ridge Cemetery, rural Lansing. Martin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Harpers Ferry Rescue Squad.

Marie Theresa King Fink was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Waukon, the daughter of John and Ella (Goeke) King. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and graduated from Waukon High School in 1940.

On Nov. 19, 1942, Marie married Lester Fink in Waukon. Marie and Lester farmed in the Sand Cove area of rural New Albin and later in the Wexford area. She also worked at the Blumenthal Lansing Company for several years. Marie moved to Waukon January 2001.

Marie was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed embroidery work, fishing, visiting with family and friends, playing with her dog Buster, and shopping.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; two brothers, Charles and John King; and a sister, Irene King.

Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Geneva Johnson and Betty (Curtis) Gramlich, both of Lansing, and Jennette Rohde of Caledonia, MN, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Honorary casketbearers were John Delaney, Gary Whittle, Tom and Steve Giblin, Betty Amundson, and Alice Conway. Casketbearers were Mark Folsom, Tom Fritz, Bruce Benzing, Brian Kann, Kyle Johnson, and Mark Reiser.

Marie T. Fink, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, in the Good Samaritan Center after a brief illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, First Presbyterian Church, Waukon, by the Rev. Larry Olson. Burial: Lansing Ridge Cemetery, rural Lansing. Friends may call from 4 to 8 today at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon.

There are no immediate survivors.
