Douglas Crary

Douglas A. Crary, 46, of Waukon, died Dec. 21, 2000. Funeral services were held Tues., Dec. 26 at Hanson's Funeral Home in Waukon. Fr. Allen Schmitt conducted the 11 a.m. service.

Douglas was born August 10, 1954 in Guttenburg, the son of Ed and Margaret Crary. On Dec. 26, 1981 he married Barb Doubek of Waukon in Nashua.

He is survived by his wife, Barb, of Waukon; two sons, Doug, Waverly, and Dan of Waukon; a sister, Jennie Lou Bender (Wayne) Palmer of Alaska; three brothers, Earl (Joanne) of St. Olaf, Art (Donna), Huddleston, VA, and Avery (Cathy), Holy Cross; a father-in-law, Tom Doubek of Waukon; and a maternal grandmother, Hattie Phelps, Manchester.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Doubek; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Catherine Crary; and his maternal grandfather, Eben Phelps.

Pallbearers were Roger Kruger, Kermit Klees, Jerry Grotegut, Melvin Larson, Justin Larson, and Floyd Leuchtenmacher. Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews.

Interment took place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover. Hanson Funeral Home of Waukon assisted the family.
