MRS. IDA ABBOTT
Mrs. Ida Abbott, 89, of 327 S. 23rd St., died in a local nursing home Sunday morning, Sept. 17. She was born in Dorchester, Iowa, Dec. 16, 1882.
Before retiring she was employed by Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. here.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Meyer of Escondido, Calif., and Milford Meyer of LaCrosse; three sisters, Mrs. Bill (Ann) Buckendahl of LaCrosse, Mrs. Albert (Lizzie) Meyer of New Albin, Iowa, and Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Bulman of Waukon, Iowa; a brother, Frank Spiegler of Waukon; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the English Lutheran Church. Rev. Stefan Guttormsson will officiate. Burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Sletten-McKee-Hanson Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service.

Her first husband was Gustave Meyer, her second was Vern Abbott
