Eunice Barr Taylor, 96, of Mt. Morris, IL, died Feb. 6, 2001, at Pinecrest Manor in Mt Morris.

Eunice was born May 27, 1904, in Allamakee County, near Waukon, to Frank and Emma Fish Barr. Married 62 years, Eunice made a long and happy life with her husband, Donald Taylor. From 1927 to 1991 they made their home in Waukegan, IL. Following Don's death, she lived in Rockford, IL with her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Bruce Greenfield. In 1998 she moved to Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris.

For Eunice, homemaking and gardening were an art form and passion. She was loving and outgoing to her many friends and family. One of her delights was to write books for family members with reminiscences and photos of her own childhood or those of the person receiving the gift book.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Jane, and son-in-law Bruce; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Many beloved family members and friends preceded her in death. Noted here are her husband, Donald Taylor, and grandson, Kevin Small.

A memorial service for family and friends was held Feb. 24, at the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren, Elgin, IL.

Eunice Barr Taylor died February 6, 2001 at Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris, IL. She was born May 27, 1904 in Allamakee County near Waukon, Iowa to Frank and Emma Fish Barr. Married 62 years, she lived a long and happy life with her husband Donaly Taylor.

From 1927 to 1991 they made their home in Waukegan, IL. After Don's death, she lived in Rockford, IL. with her daughter, Jane Taylor Greenfield and son-in-law Bruce Greenfield.
