Mrs. Evelyn Reeder passed away at Preston, Minnesoa, October 4, 1927, aged 76.

Her maiden name was Sherwood, and she was born in Susquehanna county, Pennsylvania, Nauary 21, 1851.

Mrs. Reeder was twice married. Her first husband was John Sheriff, and to the union five children were born. Her second husband was Joseph Reeder of Union City township, Allamakee county, Iowa. Mr. Reeder passed away in 1900, leaving the widow and three children.

One daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Bellows, passed away several years ago.

She is survived by seven children, Charles Sheriff of Dorchester, Iowa; James Sheriff of Lansing, Iowa; Lafayette "Laf" Sheriff of Indianapolis, Indiana; Joseph Reeder, Jr. of Monona, Iowa; George Reeder of Preston, Minnesota; Mrs. Alice Burroughs of Dorchester, Iowa; and Mrs. Fern Wiemerslage of Dorchester, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Enos of Saratoga, Iowa; Mrs. Ida Erler of Cresco, Iowa; Mrs. Ella Reap of Montana; and Mrs. Fern Molton of Minnesota; and one brother, William Sherwood of Cresco, Iowa.

The funeral took place at Mt. Hope church, Union City township, Thursday afternoon, and burial was in the English Bench cemetery beside her husband. Rev. R.L. VanNice officiated.
