Hold Last Rites For Mary Wacha

Funeral services were held for Mary A. Wacha, 91, of Lime Springs, Friday, Feb. 8, 1980, 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lourdes, Iowa. The Rev. Henry Dunkel officiated. Burial was in the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Mrs. Wacha was born Sept. 4, 1888 in Howard County, the daughter of Anton and Frances Roman.

November 8, 1910, she married John Wacha in the Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, Mrs. Adolph Ludwig; one great grandchild; three sisters: Frances Voves, Mildred Tolstead and Elsie Brietsprecher (sic); and brother, Anton Roman.

Survivors include: son, John Wacha, Jr., Lime Springs; daughter, Mrs. Harlan Benson, Postville; brother, Frank Roman of Colonial Manor, Elma; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
