Walter White

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion United Church of Christ for Walter White, 56, of Postville.

He died Thursday, November 30 at Mrs. Walter Rolf's home in Waukon. The Rev. Henry Heinbuch and the Rev. Dick Harberts officiated at the service and burial with full military honors was in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. White was born April 28, 1922 in Allamakee county to Elmer and Myrtle (Moe) White. He attended local schools and married Marjorie Rolfs July 25, 1946 in Waukon.

He was a farmer, a member of Community Presbyterian church in Postville and had served in the armed forces during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Gary, Kermit and Dan P.; and two daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Cheryl) McNally and Judith, all of Postville; five grandchildren; one brother, Edmond, Waukon; and four sisters, Mrs. Earl LeRoy (Betty) Brown, McCloud, Oklahoma, Mrs. Gary (Ila) Fuller, Aloha, Oregon, Mrs. Robert (Lyle Ann) Cousins, Scales Mound, Illinois, and Mrs. Anthony (Alice) Imburgia, Lombard, Illinois.

A son Richard and two daughters, Karen and an infant girl, preceded him in death.
