Death Of Mrs. Margaret Hirth

Mrs. J.A. Hirth, whose death was announced in Last week's Mirror, was born in Hockenbeim Baden, Germany, Jan. 28, 1826, died Dec 29, 1902.
Mother Hirth was married to J. A. Hirth in 1848 and came to America with her husband in 1852.They
lived
on a farm eight miles west of Lansing, where she resided until her death. Her husband died in 1864, leaving her with six children to care for who survive her. In 1863 she joined the German M.E. church, of which she remained a true and faithful member to the end..Deceased had learned to put her trust in God in all the trials of life.

Funeral was held from the residence of her son Andrew, Wednesday Jan. 1, 1902, at 1 o'clock p.m. Services in the M.E. church on May's Prairie, conducted by Rev.Immer, assisted by Rev. Kern. The funeral was attended by a large number of relatives and friends, showing the high esteem in which she was held in the community.
