Irene Danaher Kumpf, 91, of Dorchester, died Sunday, September 8, 2002, at Northgate Care Center in Waukon following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester with Fr. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, where there will be a 4:00 p.m. scripture service and 7:30 p.m. rosary. Irene Danaher was born on October 31, 1910, in Bryant, Wis. Her parents were Anton and Margaret (Steiner) Greisinger. She attended school in Antigo, Wis., where she took the Normal Training Curriculum for teachers. She taught rural school in Langlade Co., Wis., for a year before moving to the Milwaukee area. She married Bertrand Danaher, who was originally from Dorchester and in 1939 they moved there and began operating a local pub. Following Bertrand's death, Irene married Nathan Kumpf in 1952. Together they operated the Pine View Campground in Dorchester. From 1951 until 1977, Irene also served as Postmaster in Dorchester. Irene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester and the National League of Postmasters. She also worked as a volunteer at Makee Manor for over 30 years and was an active and willing community project volunteer throughout her life. She liked to do needlework, crafts, and crochet. She also enjoyed playing cards, gambling, traveling and loved to visit with people wherever she went. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bertrand and Nathan; a son, Thomas; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Danaher of Waukon and Mary Ellen (Clarence) Eglseder of Omaha, Neb.; two sons, Tony (Anna Marie) Danaher of Casper, Wyo., and Dennis (Judy) Danaher of Aurora, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Casketbearers are her grandsons, Mike, Kevin, David, and Doug Eglseder and Pat, Steve, David, and Jeff Danaher.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS
To All Persons Interested in the Estate of Irene Kumpf, deceased, who died on or about Sept. 8, 2002:
You are hereby notified that on the 11th day of September, 2002, the last will and testament of Irene Kumpf, deceased, bearing date of the 28th day of April, 1983 (Codicil to Last Will and Testament dated Aug. 14, 1992) was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Jeanette M. Danaher was appointed executor of the estate. Any action to set aside the will must be brought in the district court of said county within the later to occur of four months from the date of the second publication of this notice or one month from the date of mailing of this notice to all heirs of the decedent and devisees under the will whose identities are reasonably ascertainable, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to the estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against the estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance, and unless so filed by the later to occur of four months from the second publication of this notice or one month from the date of mailing of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid), a claim is thereafter forever barred.
