Ruth A. Welper, 75, of Waukon, passed away at Veterans Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 4, 1982. Services were held on November 7th at 2:oo p.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiating.
Mrs. Welpet was born January 25, 1907, in Allamakee county to Louis and Mathilda (Schmoeckel) Dresselhaus.
She and Alfred Welper were married on August 2, 1928, at Caledonia, Minnesota.
Children surnving are Mrs. Harris (Lois) Evans, Waukon; Mrs. Roger (Janet) Kuhse, Postville; Mrs. Wm. (Arlene) Ritter, Marshalltown; and Mrs. Joseph (Bernice) Schrabeck, Davis, California. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Ruby Wiemerslage; and one brother, Ray Dresselhaus.
Mrs. Welper was educated in the local schools and was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Pallbearers were Kevin Kuhse, Joel Kuhse, Todd Kuhse, Kelly Kuhse, Mark Evans, Randall Schrabeck and Rodney Schrabeck.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home of Waukon was in charge of arrangements.
