Obituary.

Mr. Theodore B. Sandry, brief mention of whose death was made in these columns last week, was born in Lansing township June 21, 1867, and died at Mercy hospital, Dubuque, June 8. He was a dutiful son and a loving brother and was highly respected by all who knew him. In 1889 he went to Chicago to learn the trade of electrician and locksmith and became so proficient at the business that he was known to be one of the best workmen in the city for years. During his residence in Chicago he made his home with his sister, Mrs. E. F. Klein, and in the year 1911 on learning that his parents were in feeble health he gave up his trade and returned home to help care for them.. In the fall of 1912 he submitted to an operation at St. Francis hospital and since then has failed rapidly. All his sisters and brothers were present at the funeral, which took place on Wednesday, from the family home, Rev. Kegel officiating. His brothers John P. Dubuque and Wm. C. Minneapolis, and Nephews H. Martin, W.H. Martin and W.J. Martin of Waukon, and Clarence R. Sandry of Dubuque, were active pall bearers, the honorary ones being Katchrin G. Sandry and Ernest Sandry Klein.

In this connection, at request of the family, sincere thanks are tendered one and all for the many kindnesses and words of sympathy bestowed so freely in their time of need and sorrow. Also to Rev. Kegel for his words of consolation, and the Misses Dora and Selma Ruprecht and E. J. Roggensack, for their excellent singing, are the family deeply grateful.
