Robert Wallace All

Robert "Bob" Wallace All, son of Arthur and Kathryn (DeBarish) All, was born August 17, 1928 at Omaha, Nebraska. He was baptized September 2, 1955. On November 7, 1994 he died in the Veteran's Memorial Hospital at Waukon, Iowa. He was 66 years old.

On September 3, 1955 he was married to Patricia Rose Dostal in St. Mary's Church at Omaha. To this union three children were born.

Bob graduated from South High School at Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. Bob was a member of the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Organization from 1946 to 1950 and the Knights of Columbus in Omaha. He was the Superintendent of the Hygrade Plant at Omaha from 1955 to 1964 and general manager of their plant in Houston, Texas, from 1964 to 1972. From 1973 to 1974 Bob was the general manager of the Meilman Pack at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1974 they moved to Postville where he managed the Hygrade Plant until 1981. They owned Mr. A's Restaurant from 1982 to 1984. Bob became a member of the management team at Agriprocessors in Postville from 1987 to the present time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James All and Dale All and a sister, Dorothy Carlson. Surviving are his wife, Pat, one son, Douglas, of Postville, two daughters, Teresa and her husband, Larry Downing of Postville, Melinda and her husband, Jay Johnson, of Burlington, Iowa, four grandchildren, Holly and Kayla Downing and Jaclyn and Jamie Johnson, a brother, Authur (sic) "Jack" All, and a sister, Kathryn Trummer, both of Omaha.

Funeral Mass for Robert "Bob" All was held Thursday, November 10, 1994 in St. Bridget Catholic Church at Postville, Iowa. Fr. Leo Riley was the celebrant. The organist was Carol Katsumes, who accompanied the church choir. Holly and Kayla Downing were the gift bearers and Artie and Bruce Day were the Mass servers. Robert Zwirlein was the lector.

Honorary casketbearers were Aaron Rubashkin, Laverne Johnson, Sholom Rubashkin, Yossi Gourarie, Tzvi Rubashkin and Jaime Lipszyc. Casket bearers were Larry Downing, Donald Hunt, Jay Johnson, Cliff J. Olson, Frank Roedl and Dick Schaeffer. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
