Grant Huey Passes On; Funeral Is Held Tuesday
Grant Huey, 79, a resident of this community for many years, passed away Sunday (06 May 1945) at the county home near Waukon where he and Mrs. Huey had been cared for the past several months. Funeral services were conducted here Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Schutte Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lehr H. Newhouse officiating, and interment was in the Postville cemetery.
Mr. Huey was born in Elkhart, Ind., March 12, 1866, the son of Isaac and Angeline (Rodimer) Huey. He was married to Mary Olson in 1890 and they made their home in Postville.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Benjamin, of Postville, and one grandson, Robert Huey, who is serving in the U.S. Navy.
