Lamborn Services

Funeral services for Donald E. Lamborn were held Thursday, July 1, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. The Reverend Duane Berg officiated. The Schutte funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Casket bearers were: Millard Bilden, Daryl Anderson, Alvin Halverson, Arnold Walz, Eldred Nuehring, Gerald Schneider, Roger Amundson, and Lowell Lyngaas.

Donald Elba Lamborn, son of Don Elba and Libbie (Clark) Lamborn, was born November 10, 1917 in Franklin Township, Allamakee County, near Luana, Iowa. He passed away June 28, 1982 at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union.

He graduated from Luana High School. On November 10, 1938 he was married to Helen McShane. To this union two children were born. They farmed in the area until moving to Clermont two years ago. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son, David of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Lisa) Brainard of West Union, Iowa; two grandchildren, Gwyn and Andrew Lamborn; a brother, Lloyd and a sister, Mrs. Charles(Ione) Ziegler, both of Luana.

Thank You----To all those who in our time of sorrow helped in any way: Dr. Kenneth Miller; The Palmer Memorial Hospital Staff; Pastor Duane Berg; and all the friends and relatives who brought in food, gave cards, flowers, and memorials; helped with arrangements and gave us strength by their presence. Thanks to the ALCW who served the lunch. God bless you all.
