Christine Kittleson Sandell

Christine Ann Kittleson Sandell, 47, was born March 28, 1954 in Postville, IA, and died February 26, 2002 in her home in Richfield, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, and graduated from Postville High School in 1972. After two years at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN, she graduated from the University of Iowa in 1975 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In the field of advertising she was Creative Director, Copywriter, and Editor. She was also an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Minnesota School of Ad Journalism.

On July 17, 1994 she married Michael Sandell of Richfield, MN, at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, MN. She is survived by her husband, 6 year old son, Matthew, parents John and Lorna (Petersen) Kittleson of Postville, a sister Mary Anderson (John) of St. Louis Park, MN, a brother Edward (Terri) Kittleson of McKinney, TX, nephew Benjamin Kittleson of Portland, OR, nieces Anne Ellinghuysen of St. Louis Park, MN, and Whitney Kittleson of McKinney, TX, parents-in-law Floyd and Lynn Sandell, brother-in-law, Stephen (Jodi) Sandell, sister-in-law Nancy (Mike) Greene, nephews and niece, Mark Sandell, Christopher and Jana Greene, all of Richfield, MN.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Dale Swan at Morris Nilsen Chapel, Richfield, MN on Saturday, March 1. Special music was provided by Patty Peterson and David Moulton. Internment was in Richfield. Memorial services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, on March 5 conducted by Rev. James Allison with Ramona Everman as organist.

A vibrant, creative, strong, fiesty and loving individual, Chris will be greatly missed by her loving family and many wonderful friends.
