Services for Hen­ry B. Roeber, 89, will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Tu­lare, S.D. Mr. Roeber died Tues­day (22 Dec 1964) at his home near Tulare.

The Rev. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Mr. Roeber was born May 13, 1875, in Dorchester, Ia. He was a blacksmith. For the past several years, he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Mayme Meyer.

Survivors include one daugh­ter, Mrs. Mayme Meyer; two grandchildren; 10 great-grand­children; and two brothers, Martin of Tulare, S.D. and Louis of Osseo, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, three sisters and two daughters.

The Coleman Funeral Home in Redfield is in charge of ar­rangements.

Henry B. Roeber was born May 13, 1875 at Dorchester, Ia., so of Mr. and Mrs. William Roeber. At the age of eight he came to South Dakota with his parents, who homesteaded nine miles west of Tulare, S.D. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church.

In 1900 he married Gertrude Binger. To this union, two children were born, one son who died in infancy and one daughter.

In 1908 he moved from his farm to Tulare where he was engaged in the blacksmithing business until he retired in 1946. He was a member of the Tulare town board for many years.

For the last five years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Mayme Meyer. He died quietly at 8:30 Tuesday morning, December 22, 1964, at the age of 89 years, seven months and nine days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, two brothers and three sisters and one grandson.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter, Mrs. Henry (Mayme) Meyer; one grandson, Eugene Meyer; one granddaughter, Mrs. William (Delores) Koester; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Martin of Tulare and Louis of Osseo, Wis.
