Edward C. Quandahl

Edward C. Quandahl, 1830 Eighteenth street, SW a Cedar Rapids resident for 20 years and as employe of Wilson & Co., before his retirement in 1960, died Monday following a sudden illness.

Born March 22, 1882, at Quandahl, he was married to Petra Clauson July 29, 1914, near Dorchester.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Betty Mae Somermeyer of Mt. Pleasant, Alice Volz of Cedar Rapids, and Ella Henderson of Marion; three sons, Nels Quandahl, both of Quincy, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Johnson of Alberta, Canada, and Martha Lopshire of Osseo, Minn., and a brother, Arthur Quandahl.

Mr. Quandahl was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran church.

Memorial services: St. Stephen’s Lutheran church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. N. L. Wogen. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the Turner chapel until 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
