Arthur W. Nierling
Arthur W. Nierling, 50, of 1818 Mallory street SW, died Saturday morning following a brief illness. Born in Waukon, March 15, 1913, he had been a Cedar Rapids resident since 1952 and was employed as a pressman at Cryovac Corp.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Judy Kay and Janice Sue, two sons, Donald and Daniel, all at home; four sisters, Mrs. Ray Schuler of Minneapolis, Mrs. Leona Waters of Lansing, Mrs. Clarence Kutsch of Dubuque, and Mrs. Jerry Ovel of Davenport, five brothers, Howard, of Decorah; George and Francis, of Mabel, Minn.; Carl, of Spring Grove, Minn., and Anton, of Dorchester.
Services: Tuesday at 9 at St. Patrick’s church in Waukon by the Rev. Eugene Kutsch. The Rev. A. L. Zachar will recite the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Janebu Kuba funeral home, where friends may call today after 1. The body will be taken to Waukon Monday, and the Rosary will be recited there Monday at 8 p.m. at the Bakke-Hansen funeral home by the Rev. John McDonald. Burial: Mt. Olivet in Waukon.
