Waukon Attorney Teeling is Dead

Waukon – A prominent Waukon attorney, Frank Teeling, 65, died suddenly Thursday evening. He suffered from diabetes but had not been ill this summer.

A native of the Lycurgus area, he was on the judge advocate general’s staff in Washington, D. C., for 10 years. He was a member of the bar of Arizona, the District of Columbia and Iowa. He received his law degree from Georgetown university in Washington, D. C. He was a captain in World War I.

He had been practicing in Waukon for many years. He is survived by his wife, the former Christine Tovey of Tucson, Ariz., 4 daughters including, Mrs. Dan Welch and Mrs. Keith Fahey of Lycurgus, and Mary Louise, at home; a son, Edward, a student at Loras college at Dubuque, and 6 sisters, including Mrs. Thomas Lyons, Mrs. Charles Whalen and Mrs. Alfred Palen, all of Waukon.

His body is at the Bakke-Hanson funeral home with services tentatively set for Monday at St. Patrick’s church.
