Mrs. Roy Sheriff, 53, died Monday in Dubuque.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Lansing at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The Rev. H.C. Scharphoff will officiate and burial will be in Gethsemane cemetary.

The former Emily Hoffer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffer and was born March 7, 1903 in Buffalo, N.Y. She married Roy Sheriff of Lansing July 12, 1930.

The Sheriffs moved to Lansing in 1931 and in 1950 went to Dubuque.

Survivors include her husband; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Casper Groagen of Richland Center; six step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; and four brothers, Frank, Charles and Joseph Hoffer of Buffalo and Steven of Detroit. Three sisters preceded Mrs. Sheriff in death.
