Funeral services for Otto H. Welper, 75 who died Wednesday (05 Nov 1952) at Marion, Ia., were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Martin's Funeral Chapel in Waukon. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Welper was born June 4, 1877, in Dorchester and married Dora Beall at Rossville Aug. 6, 1912. The family moved to Marion 15 years ago, where Welper was engaged as a carpenter. Mrs. Welper died in 1939.

He is survived by three sons, Alfred of Marion, Grant of Nashua, N.H. and Otto Jr. who is a sailor stationed at Pittsburg, Pa.; three daughters, Leona and Ardys of Marion, and Marlys of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Henry of Eitzen, Minn. and Theodore and Alfred of Waukon; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Deters of Eitzen, Minn., Mrs. Caroline Schultz of Lansing, and Mrs. Lena Kasten of Dorchester; and 12 grandchildren.
