Ruby Middendorf, 78, of New Albin, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1986, in La Crosse Lutheran Hospital.

She was born Jan. 14, 1908 in Union City Townsjip, rural Dorchester, to James G. and Sarah J. (Hahn) Sires.

She married Elmer Middendorf on April 23, 1940, in New Albin. He died June 9, 1985. They lived in Caledonia until 1982 when they moved to New Albin.

She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in New Albin, Ladies Aid, the Eastern Star Group of Caledonia, and the hospital auxillary group of Caledonia.

Survivors are three brothers, Raymond "Tat", Forrest "Frosty" and Cleaon, all of New Albin.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. Thomas Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the New Albin City Cemetery.
