BELOVED WOMAN PASSES

1911--1935

The community was deeply grieved Wednesday to learn of the death of one of its most esteemed young women, Mrs. Claude Weaver,who has made her home in this locality practically all her life and won many friends by her kind deeds and pleasing personality.

Mrs.Weaver was stricken with a heart attack and passed away at her home April 24, 1935.

As Ruth Irene Schroeder, daughter of John and Marth(Brandt)Schroeder,she was born on a farm near Castalia,August 14, 1911.She was baptized in infancy and later confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church here.She attended the Castalia public schools.

In 1930 she was united in marriage to Claude Weaver at Rockwell,Iowa. Three children were born to this union,Marlys,Jane and Francis.

She is survived by her husband and three children,her mother Mrs. Martha Schroeder: five sisters, Mrs Emma Koenig and Mrs. Elsie Schultz of Castalia: Mrs Clara Arndt, Mrs. Selma Neuhring of Mason City,Iowa, Mrs Florence Preuss,Decorah: two brothers,Louis of Postville and Herbert living on the home farm near Castalia, besides hosts of friends.

Her father preceded her in death in 1931.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, Rev.G.A, Schmidt officiating. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
